What the job entails (overview)
We are seeking enthusiastic Pharmacy Students to join our team under the direct supervision of our licensed pharmacists.
This role will give you hands-on experience in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care and exceptional customer service while learning from experienced professionals in the field.
Where you’ll be focusing (your day to day) :
Patient Care & Customer service :
- Under the supervision of a pharmacist :
- Assist in filling prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness.
- Assist with thorough medication reviews and assessments to ensure appropriate drug therapy.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare providers.
- Provide patient education on medication use, side effects, and health management.
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes to adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain patient confidentiality while providing information and advice on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
- Support the administration of injections and vaccinations as needed.
Pharmacy operations :
- Gain familiarity with all merchandise and stay updated on new products and trends in the pharmacy and retail industry.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and organizing stock and maintaining prescription product levels.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and support the daily operations of the pharmacy.
Other responsibilities
- Assist in department operating objectives, preparation of reports, compiling statistics, processing invoices, and preparing claims,
- Participate with the yearend performance review and development action plan.
- Assist in the proper care and maintenance of equipment and be responsible for the general housekeeping and appearance of the department when not occupied with the delivery of pharmaceutical care

What you will need (Requirements) :
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (Pharm D, BSc. Pharm) program.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism and patient care.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
