About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced Azure Solutions Architect to join our Business Systems Team. You will design, build, and test resilient architectures for both on-premises and cloud systems.
This role requires a deep understanding of Azure services and a passion for creating scalable, secure, and innovative cloud-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, modify, and test technical architectures.
- Provide supervision and guidance to development teams.
- Lead the implementation of Azure-based solutions, focusing on virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
- Ensure project requirements align with the organization's technology stack to minimize support overhead.
- Present architectural solutions to IT, Security, and project sponsors for approval.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available.
- Identify and mitigate potential technical issues and risks.
- Provide updates to stakeholders on product development, costs, and budgets.
- Advise business units on technical and strategic matters to address business challenges and opportunities.
- Participate in the development of best practices and standards for Azure solutions.
- Assess and communicate the business impact of technical decisions.
- Provide operational support, troubleshooting failures and outages in production.
- Support system upgrades, including hardware / software upgrades, with impact analysis and end-to-end testing.
- Stay current with industry trends and propose architectural changes where necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing architecture using Azure services.
- Proven experience in the end-to-end implementation of cloud solutions, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, and Power Platform.
- Strong experience with relational databases (SQL Server).
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic team player with a positive mindset.
Preferred Skills :
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, Azure Resources, and Azure Security.
- Experience with source control tools (TFS, SVN, GIT, CVS).
- Strong understanding of design patterns and their application.
- Experience with API / web service integrations, including SOAP and REST.
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts (dimensional and normalization), OLAP structures, and SQL performance tuning.
- Understanding of various data storage types and formats (structured, unstructured, logs, metrics).
- Ability to convey complex data models and architectures clearly.
