We are looking for a Claims Advisor to join our team in our Montreal office!
As a Claims Advisor, you will be responsible for processing clients' claims by reviewing relevant policies, investigating losses, conducting coverage analysis, and reporting losses to the insurer.
You will also be responsible for liaising between the client and the insurer to guarantee maximum satisfaction and maintain good relationships with both parties.

Your day as a Claims Advisor
- Review relevant policies upon notification of a new claim and report loss to the insurer.
- Confirm coverages included in the insurance policy.
- Review claims' documentation.
- Estimate damages and losses suffered to settle the claim and appoint vendors as necessary.
- Conduct claims and coverage analysis and recommend solutions to coverage issues.
- Negotiate payments and reimbursements with the insurers on the client's behalf and update the client on the status of the claim as needed.
- Enter and maintain current and accurate information in the appropriate electronic file system and files and documentation for each claim.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with adjusters, insurers, and suppliers.
- Prepare and update loss bordereaux.
- Conduct monthly meetings with clients to provide updates on active claims.
- Comply with corporate policies and procedures.
Our ideal candidate
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
- Claims Adjuster's license issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers'.
- Excellent knowledge of insurance coverages.
- Resourceful, customer-focused focused, and service-oriented
- Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and in English.
- Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
