The impact you will have

As a Project Manager in our Professional Services organization, you will be managing a portfolio of customer projects delivered by our team of Engineers and by other organizations within our partner community.

These projects may include various technologies from Microsoft, Cisco, and other providers of cloud and datacenter solutions.

Represent Softchoice as a key player in the delivery of Professional Services projects

Review SOW’s and provide feedback to presales teams

Ensure quality services are delivered to our customers and perform risk remediation and issue resolution

Develop and present reports to project teams and customers

Ensure all appropriate contracts are in place between Softchoice, our customers and outside partners

Obtain and provide valuable feedback through Lessons Learned sessions to delivery and presales teams

What you’ll do

Follow Project Management standards as defined by Project Management Institute (PMI)

Lead project teams through the delivery of IT infrastructure projects for our customers

Develop & maintain project documentation, which may include : charters, WBS, risk logs, stakeholder registers, schedules, measures of success, project plans, weekly status reports, issue tracking / escalation / resolution, and financial tracking / forecasting

Organize and facilitate project requirement sessions

Track and report project budgets internally and to our customers

Manage and maintain relationships with multiple service and software providers

Manage scope, billing, forecasting and budget

Liaise with technology and business organizations to manage the status of multiple projects

Facilitate team meetings and work sessions

Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to all levels of leadership

Develop tools and define technical requirements and specifications to improve our PMO practice

Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment

Strong ability to identify, understand and communicate business needs for technical projects to a non-technical audience

Strong analytical and influential skills

Experience leading cross-functional projects in accordance with a formalized project methodology required

Ability to escalate issues to senior management, identify and manage a Project critical path

Proficiency with MS Office Suit (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and MS Project

A strong client focus and relationship management and leadership skills

Effective presentation and facilitation skills

What you’ll bring to the table

5+ years of related work experience in a professional services or consulting environment

3+ years of formal Project Management experience

PMI PMP Certification

Experience with the integration and deployment of Microsoft, Cisco, and datacenter implementation. For example, Exchange or O365 deployment projects.

Cisco voice, networking, wireless projects. Datacenter transformations, migrations, moves.

Experience leading cross-functional projects leveraging project methodology as defined by PMI

Post Secondary education, preferred
