Production Supervisor-Continental

On behalf of our multinational manufacturing client, we are seeking an enthusiastic, effective front line, Production Supervisor to join their Operations team.

This will be for one of their plants in Abbotsford, BC and is a rotating continental shift. Excellent opportunity to join a leader in their field!

SUMMARY

In this role, the Production Supervisor is accountable for the safety, environmental stewardship, quality & operational performance of their Production Crew.

In addition, the Production Supervisor plays a critical team role in ensuring accurate reporting and smooth transition of our continuous operation production processes and support toward meeting out Plant production goals safely and efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• May include, but are not limited to, the following :
• Ensure all safety rules and legislation are being practiced.
• Build relationships and teamwork.
• Directs hourly personnel and manufacturing operations
• Provide technical leadership to shift personnel, to include : line setup / operation, metrics definition / reporting, testing, troubleshooting, and training facilitation
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment specifically oversees the safety within the production area
• Delegate responsibility and recognize, develop, train and utilize talents and capabilities of all shift personnel
• Facilitate safety training and complete all incident investigations and reporting
• Production Reporting
• Represents production in company meetings
• Any additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Production Superintendent.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of PVC extrusion manufacturing experience (highly preferred)
• Must have a positive work history with regards to attendance, safety and job performance
• Strong interpersonal, communication, administrative and leadership skills are required
• Willing to train the right person
• Dynamic individual
• Proficient with Microsoft office products such as Word & Excel
