About the role
Provides executive, strategic and operational leadership to the FNHA Regional Team, including regional engagement, operations and support services including, but not limited to Funding Arrangements, Nursing, Environmental Public Health Services, Mental Health and Wellness, Programs Supports, Finance, HR, Community Capital, Accommodation and IM / IT.
Acts as the Senior Regional Executive working in collaboration with regional and centralized departments and teams to provide Regional engagement and operations responsibilities, including all associated programs and services and support services.
Provides executive and strategic regional leadership to Partnership Accord implementation while working in collaboration with communities and Regional Health Authorities to develop innovative and culturally appropriate approaches to and service models of health and wellness for health system transformation in the Region.
Supports the regional presence through the development of, and leadership to the regional team, and in partnership with the regional health system to operationalize province wide aspects and initiatives to nation and regional plans and strategies.
Provides leadership and supervision to staff members including Directors, Managers, specialists and other staff.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have / be
- University Degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
- A Master’s Degree in a relevant field is considered an asset
- You may have;
- Recent, relevant and significant experience in leading health operations in a regional setting (usually acquired over a period of 10 or more years)
- Recent, relevant and significant experience in strategic leadership of diverse teams engaged in community engagement and operations (usually acquired over a period of 10 or more years)
- Recent, relevant and significant senior management experience in First Nations Health (usually acquired over a period of 10 or more years)
- Experience working with First Nations / Aboriginal people at a community and / or political level including work in the area of community engagement and community / organizational development and health
