NIRAS International Consulting has been invited to bid for an EU funded project "Support to the implementation of the EU-Canada Critical Raw Materials Strategy" and is looking for a Team Leader for this interesting 3 year project.
About the Project
The proposed Action will support more efficient and effective implementation of the EU-CAN Strategic Partnership on Raw Materials by fostering cooperation across the entire value chain, and enhancing the resilience of the EU and Canada’s economies.
It will also be using trade and business support tools to create a more favourable environment for enhancing the resilience of the EU-Canada CRM value chains.
This will be accomplished by fostering constructive partnerships between European and Canadian businesses, government stakeholders and innovators, active in the EU-Canada CRM value chain framework.
The action will also include initiatives supporting research collaboration on CRM to boost innovation through the EU-Canada value chains and make them more competitive and resilient in the process.
Finally, considering the importance of values in economic collaboration, the action will put specific emphasis on the international dimension of ESG norms and their implementation, making EU-Canada collaboration a model to show case.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall coordination of the technical assistance and ensure effective coordination and sequencing of all project activities.
- Manage technical specialists / experts for delivering the various technical tasks under the project.
- Guarantee the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall project management, implementation and monitoring, including that all projects outputs and reports are appropriate, consistent, timely and of the highest quality.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master degree) or equivalent in a discipline relevant to the scope of the assignment such as business, economy, management, law;
- Excellent team and resource management skills;
- Strong analytical skills and computer literacy;
- Good communication and facilitation skills;
- Fluency in English (C1 level);
- Fluency in French will be considered an asset.
Required Skills
- Minimum 10 years of general professional experience;
- Minimum 5 years of specific professional experience (included in the 10 years of general professional experience) on technical assistance in a field related to this assignment;
- At least 3 years of experience as a team leader in managing technical assistance projects / programmes;
- At least 3 years of working experience in North America.
