What You'll Do

We are looking for a dynamic designer to join our team in strengthening and elevating our brands across all apparel commodities and genders.

This designer will work closely with AVP of Design, Product Development and other cross functional teams. They will focus on creating quality and wearable product that align with company vision and seasonal direction.

A key responsibility is to communicate with cross functional teams from concept to production to ensure company product standards are met and development calendar are maintained.

Collaborate with AVP of Design and design team members to establish seasonal creative direction and prepare seasonal mood boards based off market shopping and online trend research

Research seasonal key trends, colour, fabric, silhouette and innovation

Lead the creation of seasonal apparel / soft goods projects and milestone deliverables

Present seasonal direction and design materials to cross-functional teams

Own and execute on all aspects of product concept and design

Develop CAD and specification packages for all designs

Prepare and maintain presentation boards and line sheets

Partner across functional departments, such as merchandising, production, product development and technical design to meet project and seasonal objectives

Attend fittings with product and technical development to ensure quality and brand standards

Facilitate in the selection of materials and fabric

Manage calendar deliverables and workflow

Enter all data required into PLM and updating as required

Help approve, trims, lab dips, hand looms, strike offs and knit downs where applicable

All other duties as assigned

What You Bring

A passion for Design and product creation

Motivation to create compelling and purposeful product

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite, Illustrator and Photoshop is essential

Proven ability to maintain a high standard of design and productivity in a fast-paced work environment

Advanced comprehension of product / garment construction and specifications

Must have an eye for detail, colour and creativity combined with fashion industry insight

Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

Graphic design, 3D and Ai design tools / software experience is an asset

Ability to create accurate 2D technical drawings

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.

Some travel for trade shows and trend shopping is required

Academic / Educational requirements

BDes, BA, BFA or BS in Industrial Design

8+ years working experience within a Apparel Design role, or related position

Hybrid
