Position Scope
Due to our rapid expansion, we are looking for an Accounting Manager to support the team.
Responsibilities
1. Parent Company :
- Supervision : Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and bank reconciliations.
- Tax Compliance : Prepare and file GST and PST returns monthly.
- Financial Reporting : Assist with month-end financial and management report preparation, as well as year-end audits and reviews.
- Mergers & Acquisitions : Support due diligence and closing adjustments for any asset, company, or business acquisitions.
- Consolidation : Prepare consolidated financial statements for all companies within the Group.
- Audit Coordination : Manage external audit processes and ensure compliance.
- Bank Compliance : Oversee compliance with bank covenants, preparing compliance certificates as required.
- Process Improvement : Evaluate and enhance existing accounting systems and internal controls.
- Regulatory Reporting : Oversee federal, state, local, and international tax and regulatory reporting and compliance.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate tax risks through control implementation.
- Tax Strategy : Collaborate with the Director to optimize the company’s financial position and minimize tax liabilities related to mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and international operations.
2. Subsidiaries :
- Subsidiary Accounting : Manage bookkeeping and assist with VAT filing for subsidiaries.
- Intercompany Transactions : Handle intercompany transactions and billings between parent company and subsidiaries.
- Financial Reporting : Prepare or coordinate the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports for the parent company.
- Year-End Close : Work with local accountants to close books and prepare year-end financial statements, audits, and compliance reports.
- Tax Compliance : Coordinate with local tax accountants to ensure payroll, sales, corporate income tax, and other governmental filings are completed and payments are made.
- Budgeting : Collaborate with subsidiary managers to prepare annual budgets.
- Cash Flow Management : Prepare and monitor regular cash flow analyses for each subsidiary.
Skills & Qualifications :
- CPA Certification : Minimum 5+ years as a CPA.
- Management Experience : Proven experience managing an accounting team.
- Full-Cycle Accounting : Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- ERP Systems : Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus.
- Technical Skills : Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
- International Accounting : Experience in international accounting, particularly in transfer pricing arrangements.
- Results-Oriented : Ability to meet deadlines and deliver accurate, timely results.
