JobDescription : As Legal Counsel / GeneralCounsel you will provide comprehensive legal advice to acorporation ensuring all business activities are compliant withlegal standards.
You will oversee legal operations manage externalcounsel and address a wide range of legal matters from contracts toregulatoryissues.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Providelegal advice on corporate governance regulatory compliance andbusinessstrategy.
- Draftreview and negotiate contracts agreements and other legaldocuments.
- Managelitigation disputes and other legal proceedings involving thecompany.
- Overseethe company s compliance with applicable laws andregulations.
- Workclosely with senior management to identify and mitigate legalrisks.
Requirements
- JurisDoctor (JD) degree from an accredited lawschool.
- Membershipin good standing with the provincialBar.
- 5years of experience in corporate law preferably in an inhousecounselrole.
- Strongknowledge of corporate governance compliance and businesslaw.
- Excellentleadership and decisionmakingskills.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Membershipin good standing with the provincial Bar. 3+ years of experience incorporate law, preferably in a law firm setting.
