Your position
I am currently recruiting a Health and Safety Manager for one of my clients, a manufacturing company located in Varennes, France.
Permanent position 40 hours per week
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be in charge of the following tasks :
- Ensure compliance with Quebec OHS regulations
- Prioritize and effectively manage projects according to departmental needs
- Develop and promote a health and safety culture within the company by demonstrating leadership.
- Communicate regularly with English-speaking partners to ensure compliance with OHS standards
- Train and sensitize teams to best safety practices
- Assess and coordinate OHS audits, inspections and corrective follow-ups
- Work closely with other departments to ensure a safe working environment

Your profile
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar position in the manufacturing sector
- BAC or DEC in occupational health and safety engineering, or any other relevant field
- Bilingual French - very good level of English
- Knowledge of SAP software an asset
- 75 - $85k depending on profile and experience, RRSP and full insurance.
The use of English is required for this position for the following reasons :
- Communication with international customers : As some of our customers are based abroad, you will be required to communicate with them regularly in English, both orally and in writing.
- Working with English-speaking partners : You will be required to work with English-speaking suppliers and partners to monitor orders and manage contracts.
- Drafting documents in English : You will be responsible for drafting reports, proposals and contracts in English, for our international customers.
