THE DAY to DAY :
- You’re a pro at first impressions and welcome each guest warmly and with enthusiasm
- You’re aware of your surroundings and offer a helping hand to all guests whenever needed
- You’re enthusiastic about our offerings and share your menu knowledgeable in order to make best recommendations
- You have an strong working knowledgeable of cocktails, wine and beer and love sharing fun facts about our offerings
- You’re a fun time! Guest want to come back and sit at your bar time and time again
- You value accuracy and organization when it comes to maintain guest tabs, ordering food, and pre setting guest up before food arrives.
- You love to go above and beyond for special requests or celebration and take food preferences and guest allergies seriously
- You’re a team player and respectfully communicate to all other staff and managers to ensure a smooth service.
- You’re able to move around the restaurant with focused urgency
- You take ownership of your bar and check and maintain beer keg and liquor levels, take inventory and assist manager with inventory ordering
- Other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications
- SmartServe Certified
- Proven experience as a bartender for at least 6 months
- Enrolled or completed a Hospitality, Food & Beverage and / or Special Events Program is an asset
- Wine, beer and cocktail knowledge is required.
- WSET preferred but not required
- Passion for food, beverage and providing excellent customer service
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and able to lift and move beer kegs, liquor and wine boxes
