Description
- The Data Analyst position assigned to the Inventory Control / Quality Assurance is responsible for creating performance metrics, collecting performance data, and applying appropriate analytical methodologies and visualization techniques to demonstrate significant trends and patterns by monitoring all inventory control indicators, transactions, and quality control metrics for the Supply Chain network.
- This position will be required to interface with the Executive team, DC Leadership team, Inventory Control / Quality Assurance (ICQA) team, and all other business Partners to address Data Analysis and Report trackers required to support the business.
- Designing, developing and implementing data collection and analysis processes and data management systems.
- Use Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tools and process to collect, connect and validate data from a variety of sources for analysis.
- Identifying, gathering, analyzing data and presenting analytical findings to answer business questions, inform business decisions, provide guidance or recommendations for action to the Leadership and drive business growth.
- Designing and building queries, compiling data, and generating Reports, Dashboards and / or Dossiers including visuals to communicate findings to stakeholders by presenting data in charts, graphs, and tables to show trends visually.
- Monitoring critical KPIs by developing advanced automated reporting based on data from multiple data sources : EDI, Tableau, OMS, Traverse, 3PL Management, TMS, MAWM Data, MS Access, MS Table, Excel.
- Ensuring that all ICQA Network Reports / KPI are properly formatted and regularly distributed to the management team assist in prompt resolution of all ICQA issues or concerns.
- Utilizing mathematical, statistical, and graphing tools to analyze data.
- Ensuring that all data requests from the business needs are properly executed.
- Creating and maintaining documentation and ensure proper usage of these custom solutions, including reports, dashboard, macros, etc.
- Maintenance of data integrity (0% error rate)
- Works with the end users to create functional requirements & technical documents.
- Work with project managers to help meet the project milestones for data / reporting efforts.
- Assisting to solve Supply Chain challenges through data analysis, root-cause analysis, measure performance metrics, and provide overall insights and analysis support.
- The role will be hands-on and understand data from a business operations and day to day reporting / business intelligence perspective, including supporting quick insights discovery and experiments.
Performing research, applying appropriate analytical methodologies, and summarize findings for complex problems.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis.
- Additional responsibilities as required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a data analyst within a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data query systems, such as SQL, or No-SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
- Have knowledge of data processing, data exploration, and making strategic and effective recommendations
- Proficiency with data manipulation tools including Excel, Python, etc.
- Experience with data visualization best practices and tools such as Tableau, Power BI
- Understanding requirements from business partners and delivering data sets or analysis on time
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to construct analytic solutions to business problems.
- Proven ability to demonstrate a high level of independent judgment and initiative.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in a manner that is clear, logical, and concise.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact and influence peers and business partners.
