Velocity Truck Centre Canada, formally known as First Truck Centre, has an exciting opening for a Mobile Heavy Duty Technician / Mechanic based out of Fort St. John BC.

Do you like helping customers get trucks back on the road quickly and as efficiently as possible, diagnosing, reporting, and repairing units as required?
You are a meticulous individual who is both computer savvy and likes to keep things organized. If you enjoy providing support for external clients, then the Mobile Technician job is for you.
Compensation Plan
- Competitive base hourly wage of $54 / hr
- Shift premiums and overtime pay.

Job Duties
- Operate service truck in remote or customer worksites.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain OEM class 6,7, and 8 vehicles in the field
- Test systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults.
- Ensure professional quality detail and craftsmanship. Maintain efficient and accurate workmanship in a safe and professional environment.
- Implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives for the department.
Qualifications
- Strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
- Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Technician or Commercial Transport (Truck and Transport Mechanic).
- Heavy Truck and Trailer subject matter expert.
- Initiative-taker able to work in a fast-paced, detailed, and process-driven environment.
- Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
- Must have own tools (required tool list will be provided).
- Experience in time management.
- Class 5 driver's license.
- Class 1, Class 3, and MVI Certifications are a bonus.
