We are actively hiring Industrial Maintenance Electricians into plastic manufacturing and fabrication companies.

The Industrial Maintenance Electrician is responsible for completing maintenance assignments to build, repair and maintain all equipment in good, safe operating condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Complete projects with minimal guidance showing proactive attitude to design and installations.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical devices in operation; dismantle / examine devices to gain access to and remove defective parts;

adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair or replace defective parts.

  • Set-up and operate shop machinery such as lathe, power tools, drill press, grinders, band saws, cutting torch, welder.
  • Use hand tools and pneumatic tools to modify / repair parts.
  • Install new or repair / modify hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Improve reliability and uptime of equipment and proactively approach equipment issues with a preventive maintenance mentality.
  • Operate forklift and hydraulic working platform.
  • Research supplies, parts and machines needed to complete work orders.
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of parts.
  • Perform / document work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Knowledge of PLC will be an asset.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • An Ontario or Inter-Provincial A Industrial Electrician or A Construction and Maintenance Electrician License.
  • Will also consider equivalent from two-year College or technical school in maintenance mechanics or related fields.
  • years' experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems including gear boxes, motors, air compressors, pumps, AC, DC, drive troubleshooting, complex machine controls and instrumentation, complex welding / brazing, hydraulics, plumbing, pneumatics, carpentry.
  • PC computer skills.
  • Ability to read, communicate and comprehend written and oral instructions in English.
  • Ability to implement, enforce and maintain guidelines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and carry a Company Cell Phone for call-outs.
  • Requires initiative, reliability, good attitude, and teamwork.
  • Experience SAP is required.
  • Must be able to Work Shifts.
  • Must have own basic tools such as wrenches, screw drivers etc but all large and workplace specific tools would be provided by the company
