What is the Opportunity?
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Design and Controls team is looking for a Senior Manager to assume a leadership position and work towards design and control assessment of applications to RBC's Identity and Access Management solutions in accordance with the IAM strategy and IAM goals.
This role will work in a leadership position with a wide range of technology and business stakeholders to implement IAM solutions across Brewin Dolphin.
You will identify business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals and meet sponsor / stakeholder needs.
We are looking for an ambitious, adaptable, and proactive individual with knowledge on all IAM Services, who challenges the status quo, is constantly thinking about flexibility, robustness, and simplicity in everything we do.
What will you do?
Work with business partners and application teams across RBC Enterprise and Brewin Dolphin, to review their changes and ensure they are aligning to IAM Controls through the Athena process.
Work with business partners and application teams to ensure successful end-to-end onboarding for the services.
Learn architectural patterns relevant to RBC's IAM services.
Provide consultative services to ensure application teams are following RBC Standards.
Identify and report security risks in accordance with RBC Standards.
Report on Athena progress and metrics.
Participate in all aspects of onboarding applications to each of the IAM Services; this may include :
Review, analyze, and define onboarding requirements as well as contribute to the technical development specifications.
Test case scenarios creation and assisting with test case writing.
Assisting with DEV, SAI (UAT) and PIV testing.
Provide support with tasks and ad-hoc requests as required.
Identify and implement solutions to improve the efficiency of the onboarding process.
Provide direction in the optimization, efficiency, and capacity planning of initiatives.
Function as point of escalation and resolution for incidents and project related issues.
Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring within the team to drive optimal performance.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
At least 5 years of extensive in-depth experience with IAM capabilities and solutions
Ability to manage, lead, prioritize, and execute with minimal direction or oversight in a high-pressure environment with emotional intelligence.
Strong understanding of authentication protocols (SAML, OAUTH) and experience working with SaaS products
Strong understanding of IAM concepts and solutions designs for efficient security controls.
Cross-functional collaboration and negotiation with internal teams for effective task completion.
Proficient technical experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, etc.) and Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence).
Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience presenting to a wide variety of audience sizes.
Ability to shift work hours and be available upon request for the UK time zone when Brewin Dolphin assessments increase.
Nice-to-have
Experience with CyberArk, SailPoint IIQ, with Entra ID
Data analysis and reporting skills.
Professional certification(s) related to information security or information risk management such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP
