Titmouse Vancouver is hiring Background Painters for a 2D adult animated comedy series. Estimated Length of Project : July 2024 to January 2025 Compensation : $1050-1150 / week, commensurate with experience and skill level Hours per week : 40 Reports to : Background Paint Supervisor Format : Hybrid, but candidates must be eligible to come into the Titmouse office in Vancouver.
REQUIREMENTS
- Working experience in Photoshop
- Portfolio samples of background paintings for a 2D animated series.
- Strong understanding of lighting and color theory.
- Preferred : Previous experience as a background painter for episodic animation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Paint backgrounds received from the background design / layout team.
- Revise work based off feedback from the supervisor, director, and / or client
- Meet production deadlines and communicate quickly with production if falling behind
- Communicate and receive feedback in a professional and positive manner
- Maintain confidentiality over all matters and proprietary information
