Technical Support Engineer (Perm "Toronto- REMOTE ")
Thisis a central and dynamic position within the organization. The candidate willprovide technical support to current and prospective clients, contribute to thedevelopment of self-help content, and provide technical support related tocompany IT systems.
Great communication, time management, and social skills areessential as you will be responsible for managing a variety of support matterswhile providing excellent customer service.
You may be asked to contribute tothe software testing or bug fixes, and installing and configuring companyproducts.
Responsibilities
oRespond to incoming support requestsfrom customers in a timely manner
oInvestigate and resolve technicalsupport issues prior to escalation
oDevelop user documentation, knowledgebase, and other self-help content
oProvide pre-and post-sales technicalsupport to sales and marketing staff
oBe proactive and help customers planfor their needs and future demand
oInstall, configure and maintain companyproducts and IT systems
oContribute to product testing anddevelopment activities on some occasions
Qualifications
oMust have excellent Englishcommunication skills; both verbal and written
oMust have experience in technicalsupport, server administration, or other IT fields
oAbility to troubleshoot web applicationusing Chrome DevTools or similar tools
oDemonstrable skills with scriptinglanguages such as Python, Perl, or Bash
oWorking knowledge of networkingprotocols, such as HTTP(S), SMTP, TLS, and DNS
oExperience with configuring Linux andWindows server environments
oExperience with server virtualization,configuration, and maintenance
oExperience with database administration

oExperience using or developing softwarefor medical imaging
oExperience with using softwaredevelopment tools and methods (source control, unit testing, bug tracking,continuous integration, etc.)
oThorough understanding of the latestsecurity principles, techniques, and protocols
