Responsibilities
- Execute client engagements assisting fraud investigations, litigation support, risk assessments and other specialized proceedings or regulatory inquiries for a wide variety of clients, industries and disputes
- Calculate and analyze economic loss claims, provide commercial advice, prepare financials and trace funds / accounts
- Analyze financial data and participate in the development of independent expert financial reports and financial models
- Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
- Provide industry and technical expertise through client interactions, research and analysis, reports, technical work, management presentations, proposals and other high-quality deliverables
- Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships grow and develop
- Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
- Work collaboratively with the client engagement team
- Begin the CFF program within 2 years of joining the firm
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Completion of, or working towards, a CPA
- CFE designation, or plan to obtain the designation within 2 years
- 2 to 3 years of public accounting experience; advisory or consulting experience is considered an asset
- Ability to obtain Reliability Status through the Government of Canada Contract Security Program
- Experience in advanced Excel and / or databases is an asset
