Job Description
Our top client is currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join their team. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with environmental levies and enhancing business processes through detailed analysis and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Location : Mississauga- Hybrid (3 days on site and 2 days in the office)
Contract : Starting July 15th
Responsibilities :
- Conduct research and analysis on the applicability of environmental levies on merchandise, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Collaborate with Merchandising Groups and Vendors to gather detailed product information necessary for determining levy status on goods.
Provide support for data sources and address any questions or concerns.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues, reviewing requests and data to provide thorough analysis and effective responses.
- Review and analyze accounts, ensuring accurate journal entries to clear liability accounts as needed.
- Maintain the Levy Master Data file and link fees to items. Perform business analysis using data to understand business requirements and provide insightful analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying and implementing process enhancements.
- Participate in ad hoc projects related to Fees Compliance processes as assigned.
Qualifications :
- 4-6 years of experience in Accounting Analysis.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple project deadlines.
- Retail industry experience preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and highly motivated.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Self-starter and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
