The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to work in a camp-based environment rotating on a two week in / two week out shift rotation.

Responsibilities :

• Assists with electrical system installations, troubleshooting and repair as needed. Able to design electrical systems and circuits, as well as contributing to improved designs and processes;
• Develops daily work plans including applicable permits and ensures communication of assigned work with personnel;
• Ensures parts, equipment, materials, tools, procedures, technical documentation and drawings, are coordinated and managed;
• Ensures effective use of the work order system;
• Assists in the preparation of department operating and capital budgets, forecasts, monthly cost analysis and reporting;
• Promotes continuous improvement in methods / performance, employee safety and equipment;
• Plan and schedule activities to maximize availability and reduce downtime;
• Assists in the development of the Maintenance Management System;
• Maintains records of electrical operations and operations;
• Active role in hiring and evaluating employees;
• Ensures a well-functioning Preventative Maintenance program of the electrical and control systems that drives improving reliability based on the criticality of the equipment;
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules;
• Assist with annual and quarterly budget review;
• Heavy lifting, large cable pulls, 5kv testing and installations.;
• Review & manage warehouse stock levels;
• Underground mine experience;
• Ability to prioritize site needs and act, accordingly, including callouts.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

• Valid Red Seal or interprovincial Journeyman Certificate as an Electrician / Instrumentation;
• 10 years’ experience in the repair and troubleshooting of diverse electrical related equipment;
• 5 years’ Supervisory experience;
• Experience using a CMMS system;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Outlook;
• Valid driver's license.

Additional Information : Willing to work a two week on / off schedule, working 12 hours per day at a remote mine camp.
