- Support the Supervisor in the management of health and safety, quality of work and employee coaching
- Support the Shipping / Receiving department
- Tracking and record keeping for employee related matters
- Attendance and productivity monitoring and reporting
Here’s where you’ll be focusing :
Make real-time decisions using a Warehouse Management System to allocate work and staff in the most effective manner (Rearrange tasks based on work needed.
E.g. : Reassign employees as required)
- Constantly seek improvements and innovations to optimize performance and productivity (Typically, the coordinator acts as a participant in a lead project by the foreperson / senior foreperson)
- Take on an active role with team members and encourage their involvement
- Participate in training team members on MHE, selection methods and health and safety
- Attendance management and overtime calls for warehouse team members
- Track and submit daily hours to the payroll administrator
- Perform daily pallet management
- KPI tracking and reporting progress
- Check the pace of assembly, schedule staff breaks, and ensure that shifts begin and end on time
- Ensure the replenishment of supplies when cases are missing for assembly
- Reporting and tracking of all workplace and non-workplace injuries
- Conduct injury / accident investigations, reporting, and follow-up with employees
- Shipper / Receiver reports and tracking
- Performance tracking and documentation
- Provide support and coverage to shipping / receiving and admin
- Complete ad hoc report requests, i.e. daily shift recap reports
- All other duties as assigned by management
What you have to offer :
- College diploma plus two (2) years’ experience in distribution or personnel management (any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent will be considered)
- Proficiency with the various computer tools related to operations
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, problem solving and ability to prioritize
- Strongly encourages proper monitoring and has a strong sense of responsibility
- Places a high value on planning and learns quickly
- Manages time and priorities effectively and maintains composure in stressful situations
- Experience in a retail support centre
- Working knowledge of WMS, SAP and Microsoft Office
