Hays has partnered with an established architectural firm, known for their specialty in institutional and healthcare projects, who are looking for a Technical Lead / Senior Architectural Technologist to join their team in Edmonton.
This firm is made up of architects, interns, designers, technologists and interior designers who work on public and private sector projects of all scales and complexities across the province.
They are looking for a senior individual to be responsible for quality control and the mentorship of their junior and intermediate technologists.
This is a hands on role which will fit someone who enjoys the drawing element of the role and is keen to progress in a firm long term.

Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the technical aspects of architectural projects from concept through completion.
- Oversee the development and implementation of project plans, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Utilize Revit for design development, construction documentation, and project coordination.
- Conduct comprehensive quality control reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, compliance with design intent, and adherence to industry standards.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to monitor and verify the quality of work throughout all project phases.
- Identify and address potential quality issues early in the project lifecycle to prevent costly errors and rework.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff and team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve project outcomes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the design and construction phases.
Qualifications :
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Architecture or Technical program, with 10+ years in architectural design and project management.
- Must have prior experience in institutional and healthcare projects, residential multifamily experience is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in Revit is required.
- You will have sound knowledge of local building codes, bylaws and construction practices.
- You will possess strong time management and customer services skills, be organized and have the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
The successful candidate will receive a base salary of $95K- $115K+ (dependent on experience) + extended benefits, RRSP, educational allowance and free parking.
