EBCis actively seeking a Project Engineer for our Ontario civildivision where he / she can utilize their extensive knowledge tocontribute to the continued success and growth of theorganization.
Reportingto the Project Manager the Project Engineer is responsible forensuring that the project is completed safely on schedule and incompliance with the contract and job costestimates.
Theideal candidate will have experience with a variety of CivilInfrastructure projects.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Assistthe PM in the overall planning and scheduling of project includingmonitoring andreporting.
- Assistthe PM in all functions and operations of project includingcompliance with local legislative and labourrequirements.
- Ensuresthat Company policies and procedures are followed in all aspects ofprojectexecution.
- Manageand coordinate projects withinbudgets.
- Assistthe PM in preparing the project cost status reports in terms ofpercent complete cost to date and costforecast.
- Identifyproject concerns and alert management of potential risks onassigned projects. Develop a plan to minimize detrimental impactsand mitigaterisks.
- Monitorthe overall progress of the project on an ongoing basis and takescorrective action wherenecessary.
- Assistthe PM in preparing budgets forecasts and reducing risk throughmanaging scope and contractchange.
- Ensurethat all scope and contract changes are submitted and approved bythe client.
- Responsiblefor implementing and monitoring of the Company s Safety Policy andProgram.
- Responsiblefor implementing and monitoring of the Company s Quality AssuranceProgram and relatedrequirements.
- Manpoweracquisition Equipment Management and Materialprocurement.
- Assistthe PM in the management of all aspects of subcontractor workexecution andcontracts.
- Preparationof progress billings.Assist in the collection of outstandingpayments.
- Carryout site safetyinspections.

Requirements
- Minimum5 years of industryexperience.
- Technicalbackground with professional accreditation (P.Eng. / CET) orcombination of technical training and / or relatedexperience.
- Experiencein contracting industry (heavy civilpreferred).
- Readanalyze and interpret technical designdrawings.
- Schedulingexperience and analysisskills.
