Toromont Cat is looking for Heavy Equipment Shop Technicians to join our team! As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for servicing a particular line of Caterpillar equipment and components in our shop.
Your day will include planning, trouble shooting and repairing, as well as, preparing necessary service reports for customers.

In a typical day, YOU will :
- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
- Repair and service Caterpillar and all heavy equipment within the established standards
- Prepare accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner
- Maintain excellent customer relations through frequent communication
- Undertake assignments as required in support of customer needs
Must-haves for this role :
- Post Secondary education in a field related to heavy equipment mechanics, truck and coach mechanics, diesel engine mechanics or a related field of mechanics
- 421A Red Seal license or 310T license with experience on heavy equipment
- Minimum 3 years of working experience as a Technician on heavy equipment (mining equipment a huge asset)
