Under the direction of the Station Manager, the B Train Driver’s primary role is to operate and care for field equipment, perform shop maintenance and support the operational business.
This role works closely with Dispatch and Operators. This position is considered to be a safety-sensitive position.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong external / internal client relationships in support of company values and objectives.
- Understand and assist with rigging in and rigging down units on location.
- Know the terminologies and operation of some or all of the following equipment and components as it relates to the cementing of oil and gas wells;
pumpers, dustless mixer, hydraulics, equipment with high pressure and centrifugal pumps, recording devices, fluid tanks, treating iron, long joints, pups, jackknifes, cementing hose, mud hose, changeovers, rag lines, plug loading heads, manifolds, and bulk handling components.
- Regular inspection of equipment and maintenance per the Magnum procedure and maintenance schedule.
- Maintain appropriate documentation in the vehicle at all times (i.e. emergency contact list, registration & pink card, CVIP, safety fitness certification, TAC permit, weight scale phone numbers, and service requirements).
- Ensure efficient handling of day-to-day operations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internally with other departments, including dispatch and bulk plants.
- Adhere to and enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with HSE legislation and DOT regulations.
- Establish and maintain procedures to ensure high level of service.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Other related duties as required.
Qualifications - Required
- Valid class 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 1 year of Super B driving experience.
- Able to couple and uncouple trailers.
- Physically capable of moving / lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg., bending, standing, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
- Able to be on call 24 hours on a 15 days on a 6 days off rotational schedule, remaining fit for duty at all times (subject to change due to market conditions).
- Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
Qualifications - Looking For
- Experience in oil and gas field operations.
- Class 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driving experience on all types of roads.
- Maintenance knowledge, mechanically inclined, and have the ability to troubleshoot.

Qualifications - Assets
- Experience with oil and gas cementing services.
- Possesses oil field tickets.
- Familiar with rig in and rig out procedures, mixing and pumping, and site cleanup.
