The Software Engineering Manager drives initiatives pertaining to current and future best practices. You will work with your team, other Managers, and the rest of the organization to define our software development technologies, practices, procedures, and policies.
As Software Engineering Manager for Optimization AI & ML you are responsible for ensuring our modules and products meet or exceed the demands of the aviation world and are prepared to enable the future.

Responsibilities :
- Set Software Factory direction, processes, and procedures for area of ownership
- Own corporate strategy by applying effectively to your organization Alignment of engineering initiatives to focus on company strategic goalsEnsure teams understanding of engineering goals and company strategyIdentify engineering gaps and close them
- Lead, support, and coach Software Factory Employees and holds the team accountable
- Provides people management : career development and performance management.
- Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to deliver on shared objectives
- Ensures quality in our deliverables
- Continuous improvement - Identify key performance indicators, measure and improve
Qualified Experience / Skills / Training :
Education :
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent
Experience :
- 10 years of experience in software development
- 3 years of leadership experience - managing software developers
- AWS Certifications are highly valued,
- Knowledge of SAFe 6.0
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities & Competencies :

- Passion for motivating and building teams to reach their potential
- Ability to provide technical direction, influence, and build consensus
- Knowledge to identify future items impacting engineering skills in Optimization & ML / AI such as : Optimization techniques : Linear Programming, Column Generation, Shortest path & graph theory, custom heuristicsML / AI : ML Ops, generative AI (LLM)
