What you bring
- Assists the Accounting Supervisor in identifying the requirements for the development of financial accounting policies.
- Allocates production tasks to team members and sets priorities and deadlines for task completion.
- Assists the accounting team with preparing balance sheet reconciliations and the calculations, worksheets, and journals necessary to produce financial statements.
- Develops an annual reporting timetable, approved by the Regional Controller, for North American accounting operations.
- Ensures financial reports meet quality standards and are consistent with approved financial accounting policies.
- Reviews reports for material variations from budget and recent actual performance and investigates any variance.
- Prepares responses to line management, addressing their requests for adjustments, and communicates this response to the Accounting Supervisor.
- Prepares ad hoc financial reports as requested.
- Prepares statutory accounts for all legal entities.
Who you are
- Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with large ERP systems.
- Understanding of the requirements of administering a multi-location operation.
- Ability to communicate, both written and verbally, to members of the organization at all levels.
- Willingness to work on tasks shared among team members.
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
