As a successful candidate, you should be an excellent communicator and passionate about food, drinks, wine, and service.

You will manage the front-of-house team and work with the culinary team to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Additionally, you will assist the Restaurant Manager with scheduling, inventory, ordering, and compliance with Health & Safety regulations.

$62,000 - $65,000 per annum

Physical Requirement :

Medium, work activities involve handling loads between 10 and 20 kg

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

  • Manages the Food & Beverage operations and ensures that the established SPG Standards of Service are executed professionally and consistently.
  • Takes note of opportunities to improve processes and remove barriers that weaken the guest experience
  • Oversees the guest resolution using established SPG Standards of Service
  • Interacts with guests throughout their dining experience with a focus on delivering an elevated experience
  • Drives customer loyalty by building individual connections with guests
  • Acts as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks with the ability to promote internal and external events
  • Solicits feedback from the F&B team and guests to identify ongoing improvement opportunities
  • Owns the departmental training of Bartenders, Servers, and Hosts / Hostesses on F&B operations
  • Manages the F&B team, finding coaching opportunities throughout each day, ensuring continued growth and development for all team members, documenting appropriately
  • Receives feedback from the F&B Supervisors regarding Bartenders, Servers, and Jr Servers and opportunities for growth or performance management needs
  • Conducts employee performance reviews and suggests team member advancement opportunities when aptitude & engagement are present in entry-level positions
  • Ensures team members have current knowledge of menu offerings and pricing
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among Front of House and Back of House team members, ensuring team members are treated fairly and equitably
  • Assists in emergencies, making prompt decisions in the best interest of the guest and the Hotel

Ideal Candidate :

  • Five years minimum F&B experience, coupled with some progressive supervisory experience within a hotel setting
  • Serving it Right certification
  • Food Safe certification
  • Dedicated to working within a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration and guest experience
  • Excellent food and wine knowledge
  • Proficiency with computer systems required, such as Micros POS
  • Professional demeanor with a passion for exceptional guest service and the ability to anticipate guest needs
  • Ability to motivate and support a team in a multi-tasked environment
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Leadership skills with the ability to coach, redirect and motivate team members in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, or push up to 50lbs
