About Our Client :

Adecco is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Site Superintendent to oversee our client's residential low-rise construction projects.

Our client is one of Canada's top home developers, based in the Calgary office. They are building 13 communities across the Calgary region.

Job Overview :

  • Manage all aspects of low-rise residential construction projects, from site preparation through to project close-out.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, Estimator, and other team members to ensure project completion on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee all on-site activities for low-rise residential construction projects, including single-family homes, townhouses, and semis.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and quality work.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with design team members (architects, engineers, consultants) to meet project goals and objectives.
  • Communicate with the Project Manager, Estimator, and other team members to address issues and ensure project goals are met.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure work meets required standards and specifications.
  • Maintain project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and RFIs.
  • Manage inspections, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure proper installation and functioning of systems and equipment.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are completed on time and to required quality standards.

Qualifications :

  • 5-7 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in low-rise residential construction, including production homes.
  • In-depth knowledge of low-rise construction methods, materials, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in construction management or a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with Alberta Building Codes and relevant regulations and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
