About Our Client :
Adecco is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Site Superintendent to oversee our client's residential low-rise construction projects.
Our client is one of Canada's top home developers, based in the Calgary office. They are building 13 communities across the Calgary region.
Job Overview :
- Manage all aspects of low-rise residential construction projects, from site preparation through to project close-out.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager, Estimator, and other team members to ensure project completion on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee all on-site activities for low-rise residential construction projects, including single-family homes, townhouses, and semis.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and quality work.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with design team members (architects, engineers, consultants) to meet project goals and objectives.
- Communicate with the Project Manager, Estimator, and other team members to address issues and ensure project goals are met.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure work meets required standards and specifications.
- Maintain project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and RFIs.
- Manage inspections, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure proper installation and functioning of systems and equipment.
- Ensure all project deliverables are completed on time and to required quality standards.
Qualifications :
- 5-7 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in low-rise residential construction, including production homes.
- In-depth knowledge of low-rise construction methods, materials, and best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in construction management or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with Alberta Building Codes and relevant regulations and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
