Worley Canada Construction is seeking an experienced Trades Recruitment Specialist to join our growing People Team on a temporary contract.
Working Condition :
- Based on site in Fort Saskatchewan
- 9 / 80 schedule
Responsibilities :
- Attend kick off meetings and major project review meetings for each job or any job-related meetings to determine resource requirements.
- Partner with our internal clients such as construction managers, project managers and department managers to understand business operations requirements.
- Develop and implement recruitment / deployment strategies to ensure that sufficient, quality resources are available to satisfy project and location growth plans.
- Provide metrics to the business on recruitment activities, campaign effectiveness and lessons learned.
- Lead weekly roster reviews with various project sites to understand their manpower requirements and to provide status updates.
- Recruit for our most demanding, high volume projects sites.
- Screen candidates and coordinate interviews with respective managers and participate in interviews.
- Schedule pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
- Work closely with construction supervision to ensure that any candidate / employee issues are addressed in accordance with all applicable policies and legislation in a timely manner.
- Participate in career fairs and other recruitment related events.
- Utilize multiple resources including internet, intranet, career fairs, open houses, direct sourcing, networking, educational institutes, and affiliated association to source for potential candidates.
- Streamline and communicate recruitment procedures and programs to superintendents, construction managers, project managers and site administration.
- Utilize the applicant tracking system and appropriate project recruitment tracking.
- Provide assistance in the Alberta Industry Training (AIT) process during the recruitment stages of hiring an apprentice to ensure that WorleyCord remains compliant with AIT standards.
Requirements :
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high volume recruitment role, preferably in an open shop environment.
- Trades specific experience is an asset.
- Must have previous experience with developing recruitment plans.
- Knowledge of relevant Provincial legislation.
- Proficient in key office software and productivity tools such as : Microsoft Office tools including MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS systems.
- Interpersonal skills establish direct working relationships and rapport with all levels within the organization, effective communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation.
- Customer service, including developing and improving customer relationships internally and externally.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and phone skills, ability to build rapport quickly and make high number of calls daily.
- Must have a passion for recruitment and ability to manage high volume recruitment.
- Must be a team player and possess a strong work ethic.
