We are always looking for the best and brightest to join our thriving community. Dream Summit’s Finance Team is currently looking for a Manager, Corporate Accounting who will be a key team member managing the accounting, reporting and strategic initiatives for the Dream Summit joint venture.

What will you do in this role?
Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role :
- Manage and contribute to quarterly financial reporting deliverables, including consolidated financial statements and MD&A, ensuring accuracy and integrity of external disclosures.
- Contribute to the monthly and quarterly financial close process for internal and external reporting and submission of financial results to joint venture partners.
- Research complex accounting issues, corporate transactions and lease agreements, and draft technical accounting policies and documentation.
- Identify report automation and process improvement opportunities, and manage / support corporate accounting and cross-functional projects for the joint venture.
- Review or prepare financial analyses for monthly and quarterly management reporting, including analysis of key financial performance metrics.
- Manage and contribute to the corporate accounting process for Dream Summit, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany allocations and reconciliations, G&A analysis, debt and interest analysis, and balance sheet analysis.
- Support the corporate G&A budgeting and forecasting process for the joint venture.
- Assist with quarterly and annual compliance reporting, including statutory legal entity financial statements.
- Maintain strong internal controls, including updating and maintaining the documentation of controls, and optimize financial systems and reporting.
- Support the Tax department on compliance reporting information requests and financial inquiries.
- Liaise with external auditors to support the quarterly review and annual audit processes.
- Collaborate with strategic finance, debt finance, FP&A, development accounting, property accounting, operations, treasury and investments teams to provide financial information and perform analysis as needed.
- Coach and mentor junior resources within the team.
What experience and skills are required?
These are some of the things we would like you to bring to the table :
- CPA, CA with minimum 3+ years post-qualification experience, preferably with experience in public accounting, or public company reporting, and experience managing teams;
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, preferably in a real estate environment;
- Experience with consolidations, complex accounting issues, acquisitions and dispositions, and joint venture structures;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex formulas;
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret numbers into a business context;
- Strong analytical skills; experience working on complex transactions, including M&A and joint venture structures;
- A strong communicator who can digest complex information and simplify concepts when presenting to a variety of audiences;
- Ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently and interact collaboratively with various functions; and
- Self-motivated, accountable, energetic and hands-on professional with strong organization skills.
