This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US. This role will be working in Central time (CDT / CST).
This role requires travel to the DFW area in Texas 2-3 times per year. A valid passport is needed for those who are travelling from Canada to the US.
What your impact will be :
- Work as key member of R&D team to analyze and program changes in the DataVoice product suite
- Design and develop the software components with guidance from senior team members / technical architect
- Assist Professional Services / Support staff as required with investigations of technical issues
- Utilize programming skills to ensure delivered code meets high standards of quality and reusability
- Follow functional / technical specifications to ensure delivered code meets specifications
- Provide timely updates on progress of ongoing work
- Analyze and troubleshoot product issues reported by clients
What we are looking for :
- Bachelors degree preferred or combination of education and experience in an industry related field
- Minimum 2+ years related software engineering / development experience
- Ability to understand the business requirements that drive the design of quality technical solutions
- Flexibility in working hours in line with project deadlines
- Excellent coding skills, analytical abilities and eagerness to expand knowledge base
- Ability to work unsupervised and within a team to achieve objectives within appropriate timescales
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
- C++ development experience
What would make you stand out :
- Knowledge of web development (JavaScript / PHP)
- Experience with Automation : Bash Scripting / Systems programming
- Knowledge of GitLab pipelines
- Experience with Docker
