What is a Pricing Analyst?
As a Pricing Analyst at TRAFFIX, you will collaborate with our Customer Sales and Carrier Sales teams to support customer bids / RFPs and make strategic pricing decisions.
Your strong analytical skills will enable you to provide data-backed recommendations and industry insights, helping TRAFFIX secure profitable, long-term contracts across various services, including truckload, managed transportation, and more.
What does a day in the life of a Pricing Analyst look like?
A day in the life of a TRAFFIX Pricing Analyst could include some or all of the following :
- Lead cross-functional teams to build and execute bid strategies aligned with customer needs and TRAFFIX priorities.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to understand client requirements and values.
- Analyze potential new client needs and market trends.
- Review customer bid documents to identify stated and unstated needs.
- Manage and analyze various customer Excel templates, identifying outliers and potential errors.
- Recommend customized pricing solutions for clients.
- Maintain customer contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms through regular reviews.
- Present data clearly using graphs, charts, and understandable language to other functional areas.
- Assess the profitability of existing accounts and recommend improvements.
- Ensure customer rates in the TRAFFIX TMS are accurate and up-to-date.
- Implement pricing strategies effectively.
Who are you?
The ideal qualifications of a TRAFFIX Pricing Analyst include some or all of the following :
- Minimum of 2 years of pricing experience in logistics.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Exceptional analytical skills with clear presentation abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Quick learner of new software.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with Qlik and Power BI a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of truckload shipping and the freight market.
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of North American geography, truck equipment, and freight flows is a plus.
- US or Canada-based.
