Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, some college / CEGEP / vocational or technical training.

MUST HAVE A CANADIAN RED SEAL 306A PLUMBING LICENCE

Must have a drivers license

Experience

5 Years or More of work experience as a plumber and experience with large to small residential plumbing projects

Wage

$32-$45 / hr for 45 hours per week based on ability and experience

Anticipate start date : as soon as possible

Location : Toronto and Greater Toronto area

Hydron Plumbing and Mechanical deals with plumbing, drainage and hydronic heating providing a variety of services in commercial and residential settings.

Plumbing services include but aren’t limited to : Rough-In and Fixture Installation, Leak

Detection, Water Filtration, Hot Water Tank Installation and Replacement, Tempering

Valve Installation, Above and Below Ground Drains and Vents, Drain Water Heat

Recovery, Sewage Ejector, Back Water Valve Installation, Sump Pumps, Supply and

Install High Efficiency Boilers, Cast Iron Radiators, Panel Radiators, Baseboard and

Kick Space Heaters, Radiant Underfloor Heating Systems.

Position Summary :

Plumber will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and wastewater disposal.

Individual will be required to Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and drainage systems.

He / she will work using safe work practices with items such as, but not limited to, water supply networks and drainage systems.

Specific Skills

• Install, maintain and repair plumbing systems and components
• Review project drawings to perform installation activities according to specifications
• Ensure adherence to all building codes, installation requirements and any relevant legislation
• Review blueprints and specifications; ensure drawings and specifications will function as designed in environment intended for use.
• Locate and mark the position of pipe installations and connections.
• Excavate for drain repair and waterproofing commercial and residential properties
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes required angle, shape and size using various hand or power tools as well as machinery such as pipe cutters
• Inspect pipes after installation to ensure there are no leaks
• Maintain a supply of regularly used parts and filters in stock, ordering replenishment as necessary, with experience and strong familiarity in high-end

European and north American fixtures and appliances installations.

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and drainage systems
• Install, repair and maintain residential and commercial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
• Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
• Join pipes using couplings, bolts, cement and soldering.
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges

Schedule personnel, tools and equipment

Instruct apprentices

Estimate materials needed for days weeks following.
