What are your contributions to the team?
- Lead a team of Analysts responsible for researching the marketplace to identify trends and opportunities for growth through the identification of new markets or new opportunities within existing markets.
- Support the development of the Bombardier Defense business objectives around these opportunities and establish the near- and long-term strategic plan to achieve them.
- Ensure the team is meeting its objectives through adequate governance and reporting
- Support team member growth and development through continual performance assessment and reviews
- Develop business cases and effectively communicate to leadership risks and opportunities.
- Support the overall strategic product roadmap for Bombardier Defense.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Business or a related field, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is an asset.
- You have a minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 2 years of team leadership experience, in business development, strategy and market analysis environment with an expertise in business growth, expansion and diversification within the aerospace or related sector.
- You are able to manage time and prioritize tasks for yourself and a team effectively while working towards short deadlines.
- You have a strong knowledge of industry trends and competitor activity.
- You have excellent communication skills and the ability to synthesize information for executive level briefings and recommendations (French is an asset)
- Working understanding of accounting of corporate finance principles to help translate strategic objectives into financial targets.
- You have working knowledge of and are eligible to view and handle Canadian Controlled Goods Regulations (CGR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
