This is a Part-Time position working 28 hours per week.

As the Administrative Assistant, FCSS, you will :
- Play a key customer service role for the receiving, directing and responding to requests from internal and external customers.
- Review and prepares all documents, reports, agendas, presentations and other correspondence materials using the required MS Office applications.
- Develop and maintain a records management system (including classifying and coding electronic and hardcopy files).
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments for internal and external stakeholders.
- Review, evaluate and distribute all incoming and outgoing correspondence and responds to specific inquiries.
- Maintain and monitor office equipment and supply inventory; places orders as required.
- Provide initial support and evaluates urgency of client needs and refers clients to internal agency programs.
- Attend and support various relevant internal and community committees, boards, coalitions and working groups.
- Develop and maintain statistics, client files and outcome measures to support the ongoing evaluation of FCSS and the FRN programs and services.
- Provide administrative and program registration support for FCSS and the FRN.
- Assist with the promotion of all FCSS and the FRN programs and services. Works as part of a team to design and maintain print materials, social media and website pages.
- Reserve, coordinate and communicate facility bookings of FCSS and the FRN space for external agency requests. Ensures appropriate keys / accesses are available;
complete necessary documentation for facility bookings and provides orientation for facilities.
- Balance register / point of sale terminal and complete a daily bank deposit slip.
- Participate in Emergency Social Services in the event that the Town initiates the Municipal Emergency Plan.

- Completion of a post-secondary program in the Administrative profession or equivalent education and experience in related environment
- 1 to 3 years related administrative experience
- Experience in performing general clerical duties, cash receipting and answering inquiries from the public
- Demonstrated excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and adapt to a changing pace and environment while managing one’s time
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with excellent work ethic and commitment to a high level of customer service
- Related experience in a municipal environment an asset
- Related experience in a public sector environment an asset
- Previous work and / or volunteer experience working in the Human Services field with social issues dealing with Child Welfare, Social Assistance, Seniors Services and Affordable Housing issues an asset
