Job Description & Key Accountabilities

This role provides the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of JPM’s Canada businesses and also presents many opportunities for growth and exposure to Senior Management in the Region.

  • Provide support to Latam & Canada CFO and Canada Senior Management as trusted advisor
  • Provide Senior Management with relevant, detailed and timely analysis of financial performance of the region
  • Ensure Regional Management is equipped with appropriated decision making information by preparing Daily, Monthly and Quarterly reports, with details of different businesses performance
  • Be accountable for quality decision-making analysis
  • Closely understand all Canada P&L components by country and LOB
  • Develop new reports / processes as per business needs
  • Work and partner constantly with different Canada and Global teams and stakeholders, such as Senior LOB and Countries Business Managers, Global P&A and other Finance teams, in order to understand business drivers and capture any insights impacting the financial performance of Canada at a country and LOB level
  • Help to drive competitive analysis and reporting
  • Attend Ad hoc analysis, supporting on requests from Canada Senior Management
  • Besides the person is also expected to support the Senior Country Business Manager on day-to-day basis on several other areas including but not limited to
  • Coordination across teams for any regulatory projects
  • Scheduling and managing any key governance meetings
  • Implementation and tracking of business priorities
  • Supporting other ad-hoc projects related to real-estate, resiliency, philanthropy, etc.
  • Preparation of presentation for townhalls, management meeting, strategic review, business planning, etc.

Qualifications

  • Strong track record in finance
  • Ideally 8+ years of experience in Finance
  • Strong quantitative and analytic skills, interest in financial analysis and accounting concepts
  • Critical and strategic thinking, self-motivated, intellectually curious and proactive in finding solutions / enhancing current processes and analysis
  • High attention to detail and sense of urgency, with the ability of working well under pressure
  • Multi-tasking
  • Ability to work across different levels of seniority within the organization, including Regional Business heads, Country Heads, Regional CFO, among others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex and sensitive issues to senior management and influence change
  • Team-oriented, collaborative and comfortable working in influencing roles, but also able to work independently
