ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Initiate and create architectural designs from concept through to design development with a focus on institutional experience in the healthcare, justice, research and sport facility areas of practice Successfully collaborate with project managers through design process to achieve alignment with client requirements, specifications, budget, timelines and applicable building codes Utilize Revit to develop, coordinate and prepare technical design details, drawings, and documents that meet the project design intent Prepare design sketches, space planning, 3D modelling and renderings for presentations Develop permit construction drawings QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree Minimum 7 to 10 years professional experience Must have experience in healthcare, justice, research and sport facility areas of practice Proven ability to balance design creativity with client requirements Strong technical proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Experience with Enscape, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite Highly organized and detail oriented;
proven track record of meeting project timelines Excellent understanding of current building codes, building construction, details and building science Strong conceptual, graphic & design skills Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills Critical thinking, effective problem solving and decision-making skills Team player, adaptable and has a positive attitude towards learning Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision Powered by JazzHR
