We are actively seeking a Project Engineer to manage the technical aspects of projects according to client needs. He will also supervise team members to ensure the technical quality of deliverables.

He will act as an engineer to review and approve plans and calculations and participate in developing the team’s technical knowledge.

  • Act as engineer for the verification and approval of plans.
  • Certify documents according to the guidelines of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Manage the technical aspects of the project, responding to clients’ needs.
  • Act as a resource person to resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in discussions with material suppliers to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Collaborate with regulatory entities to ensure design compliance.
  • Assign mandates to his team and determine the naval architecture and engineering efforts to be deployed.
  • Ensure the technical quality of deliverables.
  • Participate in and support the Health, Safety and Environment management system.

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS :

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering or relevant field
  • Six (6) months to five (5) years of experience in product development / technical integration, ideally related to naval architecture
  • Microsoft 365 proficiency, including Word and Excel
  • Languages : advanced level in French and intermediate level in spoken and written English
  • Qualified as an engineer or in the process of obtaining the title
  • 3D modelling software expertise (AutoDesk Inventor / AutoCad / SHIPCON or equivalent)
  • Relevant experience in the field of naval construction and repair
  • Strong analytical skills
