About This Opportunity
Reporting to the Warehouse Inventory Manager, the Warehouse Inventory Supervisor will have a focus on RM (Raw Material) Inventory and will be responsible for the tracking, reporting, and management of Production Raw Materials against budget.
Working in conjunction with Production, Continuous Improvement, and Procurement the successful candidate will interpret data, identify loss trends, post inventory counts, and manage their hourly reports.
The Supervisor will also work as a coach and mentor to Shipper / Receivers, Counters, and Analysts. To succeed in this position, the Supervisor must be capable of data analysis, sourcing and giving feedback, assigning and managing the workload of hourly reports, motivating their team, and offering proactive support to the Production team
Responsibilities
Supervise hourly inventory counters, shipper / receivers, and analyst
Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to health and safety policies and regulations in the workplace.
Staff, train, coach, evaluate and develop team members.
Track & report material losses
Understand and oversee budget performance to plan
Oversee the storage, as well as the shipping and receiving of raw materials
Allocate necessary space for stock rotation and removal of aged product as directed by inventory.
Assist and maintain appropriate inventory levels and material loss control
Assist in inventory counts by posting results and communication with Hourly Inventory Team.
Complete safety and food safety auditing in compliance with ISO certifications.
Manage labor and develop succession / backfill plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required. Preference for education or experience in a related field.
- 1-3 years warehouse / inventory experience required. Beverage industry is preferred.
- 2+ years supervisory experience required. Supervisory experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
- Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations based on analytical evaluations.
- Ability to provide leadership, motivation, and training for development of the team.
- Ability to cultivate, manage and foster a diverse team of employees.
- Ability to initiate activities and perform duties without direct supervision.
- Possess excellent organization and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills.
- Experience with MS Office, BluJay and SAP computer tool
