We’re looking for our next Manager, Internal Communications. Could It Be You?
Reporting to the Managing Director, Transformation and HR, the Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of QFG’s internal communications strategy across multiple internal channels.
They will be the Business Partner across all our departments in planning and executing programs in support of their key communication strategic objectives while ensuring there is a one team voice of all our QFG communications.
We are looking for a proficient communicator able to lead, develop and contribute to the overall communications strategy at QFG.
We aspire to be a best in class internal communication team, treating our internal teams like our Customers. The role will manage cross-functionally on the development of the materials required to bring it to life across our internal channels, and support on external channels when required.
This role requires a hybrid work arrangement, with four days of in-office work per week at the following location :

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Work with the Managing Director, Transformation and HR to implement an integrated internal communications plan to support QFG’s corporate objectives - focused on a one team voice
- Be the business partner across all our departments in planning effective internal communication
- Develop the strategy and content planning for QFG’s key communication touchpoints (i.e. Town halls, Transformation and Change updates) and create tools and templates for use across all teams and the business
- Work collaboratively with key cross functional stakeholders to deliver communications plans
- Write communications for internal audiences including organizational announcements, presentations, social media posts, speeches and scripts
- Identify and leverage (as appropriate), new communications channels and tools to support overall communications objectives
So are YOU our next Manager, Internal Communications? You are if you
- Degree or diploma in communications, journalism or related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in a communications role
- Excellence in writing, editing and proofreading a variety of materials for both internal and external stakeholders (executive memos, internal announcements, newsletter and social media content)
- Outstanding skills in drafting communication plans and supporting documentation such as key messages and Q&As
- Proficiency in strategic planning, project management, and execution
- Experience creating content calendars; planning, writing posts and managing internal social media communities
- Strong comfort level working with senior leaders in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to analyze and articulate complex situations and issues
- Excellent judgment and ability to consider a project from all angles, identify any unintended considerations and adapt accordingly
- Strong ability to adjust to a challenging and variable work environment, multi-task, manage multiple ongoing requests, prioritize projects, and meet tight deadlines
