Building Maintenance Technician
On behalf of our client, a key player in facility management and personalized real estate services, we are seeking a Building Maintenance Technician.
Responsible for facility operations including the management of mechanical, electrical, and support systems, the candidate will be tasked with performing regular inspections and ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, all while adhering to safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Responsibilities :
- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve issues with the facility’s mechanical and electrical systems, providing improvement and repair recommendations.
- Maintenance : Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment following established processes. Regularly monitor systems and equipment to ensure their proper function and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Facility Operations : Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment integrity and facility availability. Manage work orders and ensure their execution within timelines and quality standards.
- Client Relations : Actively participate in improving client satisfaction by maintaining positive relationships through quality service.
- Administration : Support facility-related projects, maintain tools and equipment, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
What you will need to succeed :
- High school diploma, with vocational training, certification, or applicable license.
- Building operator certification or equivalent required.
- Provincial HVAC license or apprenticeship (e.g., Gas Installer I and II license in refrigeration, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a security clearance for site travel.
- 3+ years of experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
- Strong knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC systems.
- Communication skills for sharing technical information, feedback, and mentoring junior technicians.
- Ability to work in shifted schedules and respond to emergency calls.
- Strict adherence to health and safety policies, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
