Responsibilities :
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and manage resources effectively
- Work with warehouse operations managers to ensure proper delegation of work flow
- Train and instruct key personnel on performance of specific tasks when required
- Working with the HR Team and participate in the hiring and training process of new personnel
- Establish a contingency plan with warehouse operations managers when personnel are absent to ensure continuous work flow
- Prepare production and performance reports to be submitted to senior management
- Create and establish long-term strategic goals for the organization by identifying potential opportunities and evaluating the current market trends
- Oversee the proper completion of all necessary documentation
- Act as a mediator for internal conflict and ensure the conflict is resolved
- Set up discussions with the operations managers to ensure proper work flow of operations and improve team collaboration
- Monitor all teams to ensure compliance with all safety practice requirements (food safety and Health & Safety included)
- Coordinate activities between Quality Control, Production, and Food Safety
- Initiate ongoing operational efficiency activities
- Create and monitor current and existing Key Performance Indicators and present to executives
- Prepare and maintain reports in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Assist with special projects when required
- Other duties relevant to the position will be assigned as required
Required Skills and Knowledge :
- Proven track record of leading continuous improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective at communicating with all levels of management within the business
- Must be able to quickly ascertain a situation and problem solve strong decision-making ability required
- Excellent time management and leadership skills required
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience :
- Minimum ten (10) years of management experience preferably from a food production and highly regulated industry
- Post-secondary diploma in business management, Operations / Supply Chain or other relevant field
