Job Description

Manulife Investment Management is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Director of Strategic Partnerships to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to grow assets under management (AUM) and revenue across our most important clients.

The role requires a deep understanding of the investment management industry, strong relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of driving growth through strategic partnerships.

This is a global role and the successful candidate could be based out of North America, Europe or Asia. The role is responsible for developing our institutional business.

The opportunity

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to grow AUM and revenue on Manulife Investment Management's most important clients.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organization.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing clients, including cross-selling and upselling investment products and services.

Lead on business planning and develop robust account plans for our key clients.

Develop a strong framework and approach for senior leadership engagement leveraging existing resources such as the World Economic Forum and the Geneva Association.

Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized investment solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.

Conduct regular business reviews with clients to ensure alignment and identify areas for improvement.

Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.

Represent Manulife Investment Management at industry events and conferences.

What we are looking for

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; MBA preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the investment management industry, with a focus on strategic partnerships and business development.

Proven track record of driving growth through strategic partnerships and exceeding revenue targets.

Strong relationship-building skills and ability to influence key decision-makers - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex investment concepts to clients.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop customized investment solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.

Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Willingness to travel as needed.
