SUMMARY OF THE ROLE :
Metalogic Inspection Services is seeking dedicated CGSB certified technicians holding either RT2 or CEDO certifications to join our growing team.
As a technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and safety of pipeline systems. This position offers the opportunity to work in a technology-driven environment that values innovation and business excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :
- Conducting and analyzing pipeline inspection data, adhering to both Metalogic and client specifications.
- Performing non-destructive tests, evaluating acceptance or rejection based on established criteria, and documenting results accurately.
- Assessing the condition of as-found pipes, including evaluations of cathodic protection, soil conditions, and coatings.
- Upgrading pipeline integrity databases and reporting systems to enhance data accuracy and accessibility.
- Inspecting for anomalies, cracks, and deformation while following regulatory requirements and safe work practices.
- Calibrating and setting up Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) equipment.
- Traveling to various remote project locations, often working independently for extended periods.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED :
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CGSB RT2 and CEDO certifications.
- HSE certifications : CSTS, WHMIS, Confined Space, and Fall Arrest.
- Experience in pipeline integrity inspections with a willingness to travel extensively.
- Candidates with MT II and UT II certifications will be given preference.
- Experience with Digital Radiography (DR) is a definite asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory to mitigate exposure to hazardous materials.
- Flexibility in working hours and the potential for overtime during peak project demands.
- Frequent travel to project locations is required, which may include extended stays in remote areas.

Training & Transportation :
All necessary training and certifications will be provided at the company's expense, including extensive training at our corporate facility in Edmonton, Canada.
We also provide transportation for project travel as required.
The company will provide a vehicle as needed to travel.
