Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Position : Full Time LPN

Location : Castlegar, BC

Hours : 40 hours per week

Summary :

Axis is currently recruiting permanent full-time LPN for our holistic, community-based Withdrawal Management Program in Castlegar, BC.

We are a small team who work closely together to offer a welcoming, safe, caring, culturally relevant, and non-judgmental climate for individuals taking their first steps towards substance misuse recovery.

Double-staffed and catering to only eight patients at a time, Axis provides a low stress working environment utilizing a person-centered approach to meet the specific needs of each individual.

This role is best suited for empathetic Licensed Practical Nurses with a keen interest in a harm reduction approach.

All services offered in the program are evidence-based and client-directed to focus on building strength and resiliency in the person served.

Services include recovery planning, regular monitoring of withdrawal symptoms, medication management, peer support, counselling, and Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT) when applicable.

• Relocation package is included within BC and Alberta
• This position also qualifies for the British Columbia student loan forgiveness program.

Education / Training / Experience :

• Graduation from an approved Practical Nursing Program
• Current registration with the BCCNP
• Approved criminal record check
• Writing, data collection, and facilitation skills are required
• Safe driving record, valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Pre-employment drug testing is required
