Position Description

As the Senior Accountant you area key player within our organization reporting directly to the CEO.Responsible for driving the financial strategy forecastingbudgeting companywide and providing valuable insights that willcontribute to the overall success of the company.

You will lead theannual budgeting process collaborating closely with departmentheads to align financial goals with broader company objectives andcontinually refining forecasting models to adapt to the dynamicnature of the tech startup landscape.

Furthermore accountable forpresenting comprehensive financial reports ensuring compliance withaccounting standards and fostering a culture of innovation andcontinuous improvement within the business.

This is a hybrid roleand the successful candidate will be required to work in the officemultiple days a week.

What you bring to theteam

• Bachelors degreein finance Accounting or related field; CA or CPApreferred.
• Proven experience 5 years in asenior accounting role with a focus onFP&A.
• Previous experience working for aSaaS organization and / or earlystagestartup.
• Demonstrated expertise in securingfunding through successful participation in investmentrounds.
• Strong analytical and problemsolvingskills with a keen attention todetail.
• Excellent communication andpresentation abilities.
• Demonstrated leadershipexperience with the ability to inspire and influenceleadership.
• Proficiency in financial modelingforecasting and budgetingtools.

Responsibilities

FinancialPlanning andAnalysis :

• Develop andmaintain the companys financial models for budgeting forecastingand longterm planning.
• Analyze financial datatrends and performance to provide insights and recommendations toseniormanagement.

BudgetingForecasting and Cash FlowManagement :

• Lead theannual budgeting process and work closely with department heads toensure alignment with overall businessobjectives.
• Develop and refine forecastingmodels to enhance accuracy and support strategicdecisionmaking.
• Manage accounts receivable andaccounts payable processes ensuring timely and accurate financialtransactions and adherence to financialpolicies.
• Monitor and manage cash flowimplementing strategies to optimize liquidity and supportoperational needs.
• Direct the payroll functionensuring accuracy and compliance with relevantregulations.

StrategicFinancialLeadership :

• Collaboratewith executive leadership to develop and implement financialstrategies that align with the companys growthobjectives.
• Provide recommendations foroptimizing financial performance and improving operationalefficiency.
• Work collaboratively with teamsinvolved in accounts receivable accounts payable and payrollensuring seamless coordination and a unified financialapproach.
• Provide financial guidance to otherdepartments fostering a culture of financial responsibilitythroughout theorganization.

ProcessOptimization

• Implementand refine efficient financial processes for accounts receivableaccounts payable and payroll driving improvements in accuracy andefficiency.
• Identify opportunities forautomation and technology integration to enhance overall financialoperations.

FinancialReporting :

• Preparedetailed financial reports covering all facets from budgetaryperformance to accountsreconciliation.
• Guarantee compliance withaccounting standards regulatory requirements and internal financialpolicies.

Compensation

Panioffers a competitive total rewards package which includes acomprehensive health & dental benefits and paid time off. Theannualized base salary range for this Victoriabased role is CAD$75000 to $110000.

The base salary offered to the successfulcandidate will consider a wide array of factors including but notlimited to the individuals skill set level of experience applicableto the role they are being offered and consideration to internalequity.

Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below therange based on various factors including but not limited tolocation experience andexpertise.
