Responsibilities
- Utilize technical problem solving to design a wide variety of custom HVAC equipment
- Create a design package to detail the following :
o Performance data, construction data and specifications of the equipment
o Mechanical drawings
o Hydronic and refrigeration schematics
o Electrical schematics complete with a sequence of operation
o Detailed bill of materials
- Communicate with Technical Sales personnel to confirm the customer requirements of customized HVAC equipment
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other Designers in regards to HVAC Design.
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of design documentation and processes
- Assist Design Team Lead with peer review of equipment design
- Utilize technical problem solving to lead or assist with internal special projects as required
- Manage daily tasks autonomously and in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team including Sales, Production and Service to meet project deadlines
- Provide guidance to Production and Service employees in relation to troubleshooting of equipment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Mechanical, electrical and control system knowledge
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical
- 3-5 years of experience in an HVAC design and manufacturing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
