Job Summary
Clintar is hiring Salt Truck Drivers for the Winter Season. Join our ice and snow team focused on efficient clearing and de-icing.
All roles are on-call, often overnight, and contingent on winter conditions. Candidates must be available on short notice, round the clock.
We service commercial, industrial, and institutional properties. Join our team and grow with us! There will be an opportunity at the end of the Winter Season for suitable candidates to be hired permanently to join our team.
There is an opportunity for full time year-round employment with our team. Spring, Summer & Fall responsibility will be running a crew or be part of a crew.
Compensation and Bonus :
- $25 to $30 an hour (hourly rate is based off experience)
- BONUS for referring a friend with perfect attendance at the end of the Winter Season
- Extra $$ Bonus for working over holidays
Responsibilities & Qualifications :
- Must be on call and available 24 hours a day 7 days a week, including Christmas & Holidays (Extra $$ Bonus for working over holidays)
- Respond to emergency calls for applying salt, especially during heavy snowfalls or severe weather conditions
- Safe operation of salt truck on parking lots and paved areas
- Understand basic salter operation
- Maintaining clean sites, ensuring no property damage during snow removal
- Accurately read site maps and route books
- Maintain communication with supervisors or dispatch to report road conditions, progress, and any issues encountered
- Responsible for inputting daily accurate timesheets into your mobile device (LMN)
- Working smart cellular phone with data
- Work in challenging weather conditions, including cold temperatures, snowstorms, and potentially at night, to ensure timely snow removal.
- Arrive for your shift clear-headed and focused, free from drugs, alcohol, or medications that could impair your ability to operate equipment safely
- Previous experience with salt truck and operating snow removal equipment
- Must have a valid and clean G class driver’s license
- Follow all health & safety regulations
